I don’t ever recall going through that “girls are yucky/have cooties” stage. As far as I can remember, I’ve always been fond of the fairer sex. I recall being in grade one, receiving some sort of certificate (spelling maybe?), placing it on my desk, and casually leaning to the side to show it off to the cute girl that sat behind me.
